Course Overview

The violin is a wooden string instrument and the smallest, highest-pitched member of the orchestral string family. Played by drawing a bow across its four strings or by plucking them (pizzicato), it is central to classical music, folk traditions, jazz, and modern pop.

Course Highlights

Technique & Stick Control – Develop grip, strokes, rudiments, coordination and control through structured technical exercises.
Grooves & Rhythmic Skills – Build strong timing and groove through Rock, Latin, Funk, Disco and other rhythmic styles.
Music Reading & Theory – Learn drum notation, rhythmic values, time signatures, dynamics and essential musical terminology.
Improvisation & Soloing – Develop creativity through fills, improvisation and open drum solo concepts.
Advanced Musicianship – Progress towards complex grooves, hand-foot coordination, odd time signatures, metric modulation and advanced rhythmic concepts.
